More than half of all community college students must take at least one “remedial” class to bring their skills up to college level. Most students who require multiple remedial courses never finish their degrees or certificates. Students in remedial classes have to pay to learn material in college that they should have gained free-of-charge in high school. It’s wrong. It’s unfair. It’s got to change.
